Sam Jarrett grew up in the coastal town of Urunga and spent his childhood playing along the North Coast of NSW before heading to the U.S. on a scholarship playing collegiate soccer. After spending 5 years working as an investment professional Sam joined SCA in 2021 to provide young Australians with the opportunity to develop academically and athletically in the US.
Throughout his childhood Sam played representative football for North Coast Football and Northern NSW Football. Sam had the opportunity to represent both his state and country in football and futsal competing at the U14 International Football Tournament in Japan as a member of the Northern NSW representative squad and touring Brazil with the U16 Australian schoolboy futsal team.
Sam Jarrett represented Whitworth University competing in the Northwest Conference of NCAA DIII winning three conference championships in his four years as a member of the Whitworth Pirates. Sam made multiple appearances in the NCAA DIII National Tournament with Whitworth reaching the Sweet 16 in his junior year. He was named Co-Captain his senior year and led the Pirates to 3rd in the National Ranking Polls in his senior season. He was a member of the Whitworth Pirates Class of 2016 setting the second highest win percentage in the school’s history with a record of 57-11-10 over 4 years.
Sam graduated magna cum laude from Whitworth University with a Bachelor of Economics and Minor in Mathematics. During his time at Whitworth, he was involved in the Whitworth Student Investment Group as Chief Investment Officer and served as a Student Success Coach mentoring other student-athletes. Following Whitworth, Sam spent 5 years working as an investment professional in both the US and Australia prior to joining SCA.
Sam’s vision for SCA is to mentor young athletes and assist them through the college application process to develop well-rounded student-athletes to compete in the U.S.
