Nick Feakes
Sports Consultant
Nick Feakes is originally from Canberra, Australia where he grew up playing for the Uni – North Owls and was a part of the ACT Brumbies Talent Center. Nick received a rugby scholarship to attend Lindenwood University from 2014 - 2018.
While competing for Lindenwood Lions, Nick became one of the best collegiate rugby players in the U.S. finishing as a finalist for the Rudy Schultz Award (National Player of the Year) in 2018. In 2015, the Lions won the NCAA DI National Championship Sevens & the Red Bull University 7s Championship. In both 2017 and 2018, Nick was instrumental in leading Lindenwood to the USA Collegiate National Sevens Championship finishing the tournament as MVP and leading try scorer. Lindenwood also won the Collegiate Rugby Championship in 2018. Nick was also selected to the Collegiate All-American Under-23 team and captained the Collegiate All-Americans to a third-place finish at the 2018 Rugbytown 7s.
Nick graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and during his time at Lindenwood was the Sports Editor for the Lindenwood student news website and was a journalist for the school newspaper. His experience playing and studying at Lindenwood led to a vast array of connections with US college rugby coaches from the top-ranked American colleges to high performance camps.
His achievements in college earned him a professional contract after graduation in 2019 to play Major League Rugby for the NOLA Gold. After his first season, Nick was awarded Rookie of the Year for the Gold and re-signed for a further three years. After a stand-out season in Major League Rugby in 2022 Nick was selected for the USA Falcons camp in Houston, Texas.
Nick's vision for SCA is to help young athletes navigate the collegiate rugby landscape so that they can enjoy a successful athletic and academic career in the USA.
